This is a class which offers potters an opportunity to build and form using a range of hand-building techniques. Pinch, coil and slab-build three projects guided by the teacher and potter helpers. Aiming for a gentle atmosphere, this course will allow for quiet making in a supportive and nurturing environment. See Terms and Conditions.

What’s Covered on this Course?
Handbuilding
Developing your hand-building skills to make constructions that are precise and well-refined. Use slips, sgraffito and carving methods to finish your work.
Surface Decoration
Explore carving, burnishing, inlay and sgraffito without pressure and in your own time.
Glazing
Learn the fundamental components of the chemistry of glazing that generate a unique and beautiful glazed form.
