The Clay Yard Bursary
The Clay Yard strives to provide access to the studio, its’ resources and the guidance from our teachers for those who do not usually have the opportunity to take part in ceramics.
The bursary covers the cost of one place on a course. This includes access to the tools and resources and tuition. Materials are charged at the studio rate of £5 per kg.
1 Who
Open to a person who has previously attended the course who expresses a passion and demonstrates talent. Priority is given to early-careers or disadvantaged young people.
2 When
This is a rolling programme. As and when the course dates are published, one space will be reserved for the successful applicant on an appropriate course.
3 How
If you would like to recommend a talented and artistic individual for consideration for a bursary place email Alison using the link below.
“The bursary has been an incredible opportunity for me, especially as someone who hadn’t thrown on a wheel before my time at the clay yard.”
