Duration: 6 Weeks (18 hrs)Follow in the footsteps of ancient cultures to develop your skills in throwing on the wheel. Working to shape the clay whilst spinning at speed and to create forms that defy gravity.

Throwing
Starting with cylinders and progressing to bowls, lids and throwing off-the-hump.
Turning
Refine your thrown-forms using turning techniques to present work that is balanced and finished.
Glazing
Develop your finished piece with a range of beautiful glaze effects to add interest and texture to your work.
Make Time in your Life for Play
Take a moment out of your busy week to drift into the calming and centring processes of making with clay. Gather peace and inspiration from your surroundings and produce work that is truly reflective of your inner emotions.
De-clutter your mind and consider the fabric of our landscape. De-complicate and understand what makes form and shapes our environment.
